Sometimes it is hard to believe that we are into the middle of December already given the beautiful weather we have been having! Last night, while watching the sunset, my friends and I decided that there is no time more beautiful in Ojai than that of the winter season. The air is crisp, but the sun shines brightly, providing warmth in its presence. And when it sets over the valley, that same sun paints the sky with a mixture of oranges, reds, and pinks so intense that you have to stop and admire it. Equally beautiful are the trees with their colored leaves that fall when the wind blows and the brightness of the moon and stars at night. It would be a shame not to stop every once in a while to look around at the beauty here at Thacher. I have actually found that these moments of appreciation, either alone or with friends, are a great way to relax in the midst of a busy day.
