Twenty-two years ago I came west to Thacher for a one-year job as a sabbatical replacement in the mathematics department.  I remain happily transplanted in this beautiful Ojai Valley.  My husband Bill, and I raised our two daughters here.

I’ve loved dance my whole life from classical ballet, to contemporary dance, to musical theater and as I’ve grown and learned I’ve turned from performer to teacher to choreographer.  At Thacher I direct the dance program, teaching afternoon dance classes in ballet, modern dance and jazz, and choreographing for the Dance Ensemble, our student repertory company, as well as for the yearly musical theatre production.

My day job is teaching mathematics from algebra through BC Calculus.  That I can combine my two favorite things in my career at Thacher makes it the perfect place for me; I can’t imagine doing anything else.
