How did you hear about Thacher?
I heard about Thacher through a multitude of boarding schools fairs in the New York area.

What I like best about living and studying at Thacher: The thing I like most about Thacher is the amazing support from fellow students, faculty members, prefects, and dorm parents. Without them, such a great experience would not be possible.

My favorite class at the moment is My favorite class at the moment is English with Ms. Sawyer-Mulligan because I love to write and analyze literature.

People at Thacher – peers, schoolmates, faculty, staff and others – who have influenced me positively and how: Like I’ve said before, learning from fellow students as well as the advice of prefects and the care of dorm parents all influence me positively. I love having the knowledge of so many people to guide me through new experiences and challenges as well as having others to enjoy the Thacher experience with.

Advice for someone thinking about going away to school or specifically coming to Thacher: My advice to incoming students would be to be open to new experiences. As I looked out over the top of the Mesa at Golden Trout Camp I could never have imagined hiking at 10,000 feet a year earlier. I could not imagine riding a horse or living with 30 other girls or baking cookies with friends on a Saturday night. Without trying, however, I would have never realized how much I loved it.
