Thanksgiving break approaches! The nine squares that I highlighted pink on my calendar at the beginning of the year are now only three x’s away. Finally, a great deep breath—a respite from the wonderfully busy days here at Thacher.

I wonder how home will feel. Will my room seem quiet without the incessant sounds of my dorm, Casa? Or the presence of my friends just a few doors down? I know I will gladly welcome sleeping in as late as I wish, but I might, just a tiny little bit, miss seeing my horse every morning…

P.S. On an unrelated note, I now have a fish in my room! He is a blue Betta fish and his name is Sylvio.
