Senior Year

The year is in full swing, and though some days have felt long the weeks have flown by. As senior class president there is a lot on my plate as I balance college applications, schoolwork and clubs, but I have enjoyed this year more than any other. This year, most of the things that have kept me busy are things that I love to do. I had the freedom to take the classes I was most interested in, participate and lead the clubs that I am passionate about and I can still enjoy spending time with my friends.

Of all the activities that I am involved in, my favorite has been being co-head of the Indoor Committee, which is responsible for planning and running weekend events for the entire school — and it’s why I’m competing in a high stakes game of marshmellow toss in the picture above! Running a school-wide event is exhausting, but it is fulfilling to hear positive responses from students who enjoyed themselves. As the year progresses, we will have to continue coming up with new ideas to keep things fresh, and I am excited to continue planning events that contribute to the positive building of our community at Thacher.
