Today kicks off the start of our annual Alumni Weekend at Thacher. I think all the students eagerly anticipate it because it means all of our old friends return, which is very exciting. I have already seen all of my past prefects. It is so nice to catch up in person and talk about their college experiences thus far. Since I am a Senior this year, I am invited to a special dinner at Mr. Mulligan’s (our head of school’s) house along with all the alumni. One nice thing about Thacher is that since our community is so close, we make friends in all different grade levels. This also makes it sad when they graduate and leave the school before we do. Thankfully, Alumni Weekend is a perfect excuse for them to return to Thacher and for us all to reunite.
