Testing My Way Through

If there’s one thing that I will always remember learning from my Junior year, it is that the world is full of tests. They come in all different varieties ranging from academic to social to emotional. Although many students may immediately attach a negative connotation to the word “test,” I have realized that this attachment is not always true. Yes, it is unfortunate to have to spend most of your study hall preparing for a test, but it is completely worth the feeling of seeing your hard work pay off when your teacher hands the test back. Most tests, however, you cannot study for. As you move through Thacher, you are incrementally given more and more responsibility every year. You are expected to do certain things and not to do others. In this sense, you are constantly being tested. If you step up to the plate and act accordingly, you have passed the test. At some point, every Thacher student passes these tests and aces their last final, graduation.
