Being a senior at Thacher is something that students in all grades wait for with great anticipation. Seniors really help to lead the school in many ways including living in dorms with younger students, planning weekend events, overseeing the school newspaper and so many more.  Probably because of this, the seniors always seemed to be so old and mature. Now that I am one of them,along with my whole class,  it is funny to look back on my previous impression! We are not really all that old, but we do have a lot more responsibility this year.

So far senior year has been fun and also incredibly busy. It started out with camping trips. I went camping with a group in the Sierras, near a town called Lone Pine. Driving there and back was interesting, because we passed many scenes which looked like iconic settings for old Western films. Our trip leader told us that many of the old Westerns were actually filmed in the area.

Getting into the swing of senior year has been a great satisfaction!
