Bittersweet Goodbyes

11photoAt the start of every new school year, the students and teachers alike pledge to do our part in making the coming year the “best year yet.”  As this year comes to an end, and summer draws near I am beginning to feel the bittersweet emotions that come with the close of every year.  I am eager to assume the responsibilities of an upperclassman, but in doing so, I am taking the place of the class above me, subsequently pushing the current seniors into the next steps in their lives.  The seniors are the leaders of the community, and as underclassmen we have the utmost respect for them.  They have been our prefects, our captains but most importantly, they have been our friends in challenging times.  The community is forever indebted to the graduating class of 2013.  The laughs, smiles and challenges the community took part in have surely made it the best year yet.
