It’s the Journey that Counts

16photoBoth of my parents were first generation to attend college (both graduated from Stanford University) and value education highly.  However, when I presented the idea of going to boarding school, they were skeptical and unsure.  I assured them that I would only attend if I found a school that I absolutely loved.  I visited Thacher for the first time the summer before eighth grade.  My dad and brother were with me and we all fell in love with the campus immediately.  When my dad talked to my mom about Thacher, he was gushing about the school more than I was!  I interviewed at all the nine schools I applied to that fall.  But I knew Thacher was my first choice.  I love this place!
