This last Saturday, we had our first coffee house of the year. This is a time where anyone of any grade can do any performance for the school’s entertainment. Though anything is allowed, the show mostly consists of musical performances. For a school of such small size, there is an absurd amount of musical talent.
The best performances, in my opinion, are not actually the best performances, but the ones that shock you. It was a wonderful surprise to find that one of my best friends, Shelby Luce, had an incredible voice. I had never heard her sing, and quite honestly, she doesn’t look like she would be much of a singer, but she shocked me among many others. Though she is special to me, she is one of many that surprised the school with an unforeseen talent.
Coffee house is always a success. A time where your friends and peers show another side of themselves that makes you like them even more. The atmosphere of the event always unites the school. Some performances are for humor, some are truly amazing. Everybody supports everybody. Even the Head Master, Mr. Mulligan, performed.
