New Classes: Looking to the Past, Present, and (my) Future

Even though Thacher life is busy, we’re still connected to the happenings of the rest of the world. This election year, we chat and debate politics over dinner and many of us watched the first presidential debate. In U.S. history class, everyday we have a short presentation on a current event related to the election. So as we discuss the Constitution, we can compare history with the present day events. This week in history class, there are presentations on different sections, even paragraphs, of the Constitution and subsequently an exam. Another new class that reminds me its junior year (and gets me thinking about senior year and beyond): Junior College class. Twice a week, juniors study for the PSAT, learning and practicing new skills. I’m looking forward to a busy and exciting week!
