This past year the administration made some dramatic changes to the prefect system. Instead of having 5 junior girl prefects, there would be 5 prefect groups each with four prefects. There was lots of apprehension about the new system. Personally, I was filled with worries that it wouldn’t work out, wouldn’t be fun, and would bring a damper to my senior year. However, the experience has been just the opposite. It has brought me closer to senior girls, I wouldn’t have otherwise known (my other prefects), it has taught me valuable life skills regarding team work, and it most important of all it has been so much fun! Every week, one team does team time after check-in. For ours we made all the girls crepes complete with toppings extraordinaire, it was a fun filled night that made me appreciate just how great the new system is working out!
