For my EDT (Extra Day Trip), I went horse camping in the Sierras. I have never been horse camping before this, so I was quite nervous starting out.  Wondering if I could even get along with my horse, I stuck with Khali on the trails. I had so much fun with our camping group, that all the little negative things became less significant to me. While horse camping trips require us to wake up early to make sure the horses eat, pack all our belongings, and saddle our horses, so that we can finally leave the campsite, riding through the mountainous trails into meadows, was very calming and relaxing to start the school year off. Horse camping showed me the bond between a horse even in the middle of the mountain, where there is no civilization, whatsoever.
