Junior year is here. So far, it is even better than sophomore year. It is nice to have more freedom and even nicer not to be new ( I was a new sophomore last year). To start off the year, I went on an EDT (extra day trip) to Santa Cruz, up near San Francisco. My group hiked what is called the ‘Skyline to Sea’ trail, starting off into the mountains and descending to the beach. After a week spent in the thicket of redwood trees and brush, the view of the ocean was spectacular. But, my favorite part of junior year so far was the first day, coming back to campus and seeing all of my friends and my new prefects after the summer. This year, the junior girls have a new prefect system. Instead of only one prefect per group, there are now four! It took a little bit for everyone to adjust, but I’ve come to appreciate it… It makes it much easier to find someone to talk to or spend time with, not to mention four times as much food at munch-outs!
