Thacher Baseball 2012 has come to an end. Though we were eliminated in the first round of the playoffs, it was a great season. Going into the last week of the season, we had a 3-6 record and needed to win the next four games in a row to make the playoffs. We locked in and began playing the game the way we knew we were capable of playing. We won the next four games; one being against Dunn, who was previously undefeated in the Condor League and the other being Villanova, whose league is a couple of divisions above us. In one of those games, we enjoyed watching Joe Bell, a senior and one of our team captains, hit a near 400 foot home run. We were playing our best baseball going into our playoff game, but our run came up short. But, we did witness another couple of homers from Joe, and two from Evan Farese, a junior and soon to be captain.

We played hard and had a great season. I am definitely looking forward to next year’s team!
