See You Next Fall!

With the end of the school year comes the satisfaction of finishing up all projects. Just yesterday, I finally finished my ceramics project (a bust of a panda bear, complete with somewhat-realistic clay fur). Playing some music and working on my darling bear was very peaceful and relaxing. This week was the week of final exams and turning in final projects. Though it’s plenty of work, I love the feeling of completing a year full of work. The end of school now reminds me of how different it was at my previous schools. In middle school, the final week was packing, saying good-bye, and a few classes of doing nothing. Here, everyone’s doing something to prepare for their camping trip. Having camping at the end of the year is one last great Thacher moments we have at the end of the year before we head home. Instead of thinking of packing boxes at the end of the year, I’ll think of telling stories around a campfire or swimming in hot springs running along the side of a mountain (yes, it’s as magical and unbelievable as it sounds). I’m eager to see what’s to come next year with new classes and experiences. Here’s to the future!
