Thacher is definitely telling me it is Spring. Warmer weather with an average of 70 F, there are orange blossoms blooming everywhere and bees flying around them (with the help of our new bee hive at Carp.). Our pool is starting to fill up with people during the weekends, and more people are just simply outside, basking in the warm sun. More people are moving from their sweaters and jackets to their t-shirts and shorts. Formal dinner used to start when the sun set, but now we leave formal dinner with a sunset in front of our eyes. Yet, the biggest indicator for Spring at Thacher is Gymkhana. All the horses train and race for this quite unique event, and if you went out to the Gymkhana field, you could see how intense it could get.  For me, I wish my Big Gymkhana will be tons of fun as I lope through the Ojai Spring!
