This year, I am one of three directors of the spring musical called the Spring Sing. The Spring Sing is a completely student-run production, with one faculty advisor, where we can perform anything we want! I have been in the cast of the Spring Sing during my freshman and sophomore years, and last year, the directors decided to pass the baton to me and two friends of mine. Together, we wrote a comedic musical and used well-known songs to tie the story line together. It has been so much fun so far!! We came into this knowing two things: 1) Everyone who auditions, gets a part. No one is turned away. 2) We completely fund it ourselves and run it as well as we can. The cast this year is a big group full of energy, and I am so excited to see the show all pulled together by May 18th!! The point of the Spring Sing is to give the opportunity being in a show to people who usually are not on stage, and it is working so far. I have been truly impressed with everyone!!

I am sure I will write again once it is over to share the outcome and show pictures. But for now, I have to choreograph!
