Realization

After hosting the first group of second visits, I noticed the simple day-to-day things that revolve around my Thacher life. First, I realize how much I bonded with my class. Coming in September, not knowing anyone, the second visitors made me remember how little I knew about everyone. Second, I realize how much more I know about horses. Watching our visitors participate in the mucking experience, I became aware of how much I learned about horses, and built a relationship with them. They helped me recall the first couple weeks of my horse experience where I had no clue what I was doing, and the very little affection I showed toward the huge creatures. Lastly, it reminded me of the busy life that I live at Thacher. While I don’t think of it as much today, going over the visitors schedules, it made me reflect upon the busy lifestyle I have at this school. There is nothing wrong about being busy at Thacher; in fact, I have gotten used to it. Yet, this whole second visit experience for me has made me contemplate and remember the transitions I have had this Freshman year.
