Passed Rider’s Test!

Freedom is the key word here.

I have recently passed my rider’s test, which is a test on how well you can control and perform important maneuvers on your horse. Passing this test means a lot of things: it means you are a decent rider, it means you are being trusted by the horse department, but most of all, it means FREEDOM. I still have to ride a minimum of five days a week, but during riding time, I get to do almost anything that I want. Of course, I still have to follow certain “unwritten” rules to make sure that my horse and I are safe, but part of the passing the test is having good judgement, and that judgement is expected to be used while by yourself. I have ridden three times now since passing, and I have by far had the most fun I’ve ever had on a horse these past few days. I have taken a couple of fun trails, played horse tag (literally a game of tag on horses), and I have truly experienced what the term “galloping” is. Riding is no longer something that’s simply on my schedule, it is now something I look forward to everyday.
