Cheers!

It’s the last night here in the dorm for 2011!  A few friends and I threw a small party for Amy after check-in and it was a very joyous event.   It’s definitely these smaller intimate events that make the Thacher experience that much more special.  We toasted to Amy’s 17th birthday as well as the the end of a great half of a school year! And, as we were chatting about what we were planning on doing over break, it came to our realization how everyone is from all different places of the world.  For example, Sarah is heading to New Jersey, Kallie to Saipan, Melanie to Saudi Arabia, Irene and Amy to Korea, Ana off to Chicago, and Maddie to San Francisco.   Sometimes we tend to forget how about the great diversity here at Thacher…but when we do, it’s always fascinating and powerful.  Anywhoo, I’ll be heading home tomorrow!  Wishing you all a lovely holiday season and new year.
