This week the fall sports are winding down with the end of the trimester. I’ve never seen myself as athletic and had never picked up a tennis racket in my life, but I was willing to give tennis a shot (no pun intended). The rest of the team, new and experienced, happily welcomed me in, giving me tips and having fun along the way. From theme Fridays (dressing up for practice; think of a hoard of girls with rackets heading down in pajamas) to our games, where we all cheer each other on and work hard, I’ve had a blast. Beginning with no experience, I had improved a great deal and have learned a lot. What started as something I thought I’d just try out became a sport that I love and a team I love even more.
