Sunday Rejuvenation

A recent addition to The Thacher School’s schedule is Sunday town runs. Especially for those playing varsity sports this is a great thing as it means that if you can’t make it into town on Wednesday or Saturday you can on Sunday. Last Sunday a couple of friends and I went into town on a beautiful Sunday morning. We went to breakfast at the Cafe Emporium (a local restaurant), which was delicious, followed by a trip to the Farmers’ Market–so much fun! We got strawberries; fresh squeezed orange juice, fudge, and flowers. It was so relaxing to walk around and see all the vendors. We then took our purchases to Rainbow Bridge where we got smoothies, which we drank in the park. It was the perfect way to spend a Sunday morning- relaxing, fun, and full of yummy food. While Saturday town runs are great and Wednesday afternoon lunches are fun, the spoils of the Farmers’ Market and the peacefulness of a Sunday morning are unbeatable.
