I often find myself reflecting on how special and unique Thacher is, so I decided to make a list of five things that make Thacher the special and wonderful place that it is.

1. Where else could half the school sing along to a Disney song playing on the TV in your headmaster’s house on a Saturday night?

2. Where else can you ride out on a horse with your friends and within minutes see the whole Ojai Valley, and on clear days even further?

3. Where else can you leave your computer sitting out anywhere on campus and know 100% that it’s going to be there when you come back?

4. Where else can you make delicious or not so delicious smoothies with your best friends on the weekends?

5. Where else can you miss the town bus and feel comfortable asking a faculty member to drive you into town?

These are five of many reasons that I think make Thacher such an unparalleled place.
