Saturday Spontaneity

Last Saturday was filled with great food, friends, and spontaneity.

In the morning I took the town bus and had brunch with a good friend at Exotic Thai. I came back to spend the afternoon and watched alumni soccer and basketball games. Later in the evening, a group of friends and I were dropped off at Bocallli’s (a nearby family restaurant). We filled our bellies with pizza and lasagna and had some great laughs.

Afterwards, we walked back to school, hands linked, and enjoyed the evening breeze. From there, Thacher looked no bigger than an orange-hued lightning bug. The night was indeed young and fortunately I had brought a flashlight (Survival 101) and shone the light at the road ahead of us.

After a good amount of walking we made our way back into the gates of Thacher. The majority of us headed to Casa (my old dorm) to hang out with some freshmen girls. Around 9:30 or so, we all hopped over to the Mulligans’ open house. I colored, ate some warm chocolate chip cookies, caught up with my wonderful freshman prefect, hung around the fireplace and looked at old yearbooks, and danced to The Temptations.

We got back to the dorm for 11 PM check-in and I spent some alone time watching a movie before I turned off my lights and went to sleep. I was happy to reunite with old friends, eat an incredible amount of delicious food, as well as throw some spontaneity into my Saturday.
