Auditory Bliss

Every once in a while, the whole school is cordially invited by Mr. Mulligan to attend an event. (This means “required.”) Last Saturday night we were serenaded by guitarist Eric Henderson. He spoke very little, usually only naming the piece he previously played or intended to play, but not much was needed to be said. On stage, he picked and strummed away, communicating to us this way and showing the true beauty and soul of classical guitar. His finger-picking was clear and crisp and sharp in our ears. His calm drifts and chords were no less inspiring. Sitting in the theater with our peers and teachers, we all basked in the talent and excellence of an amazing guitarist.
