Dinner @ Doc’s

In my last blog, I mentioned the ten things I missed most about Thacher. One of them was advisee dinners and I’m going to elaborate on them. Last night instead of formal dinner, four other girls and I walked the couple hundred yards up to our advisor’s–Doc. V’s–house. Before we reached the house, the delicious aura of baking food wafted out to us. It reminded me of dinner at home. Doc. V had made us soup, chicken, salad, and pear maple upside-down cake; it was all amazing and yummy. Aside from the phenomenal home cooked meal, though, was the fun hour or so hanging with his other advisees, discussing our weeks, whether it was last week’s volleyball match or our chemistry test, or enjoying being in a home-like atmosphere.
