Yesterday was the first time in a long time I was able to go into Ojai. The past two weeks have been filled with Zone 10 Finals (our end-of-season Interscholastic Equestrian Association horse show) and tennis matches against Dunn, Ventura, and Villanova. On top of that, there was studying for multiple tests, and writing both my Latin American and Dubliner’s papers. My friends Giovanna, Paige, and Lauren accompanied me to lunch at the Ojai Cafe Emporium. The weather was beautiful and the burgers were delicious. Ojai is the perfect town to be close to. Its charming stores and generally smiling people make living here all the better. Also, there are so many perfect spots in town to just sit and have coffee, and the park has the perfect bench for an ice cream. I’d gotten so busy, I’d forgotten how nice it is to take the time for a relaxing lunch in town.
