As a freshman, I’ve been lucky to have made Varsity Basketball. The team works hard during practice, running drills and plays until everyone fully understands what to do. I’ve learned to be observant with my eye, precise with my hands, and quick with my feet. Coaches Perry and McGowan make basketball fun, encouraging us to give our best and never to give up. Everyone on the team is positive and loves basketball just as much as I do. Though one may think the student body here is small, the size of support at Thacher is massive. There’s nothing like your classmates and teachers cheering you on from the bleachers. Ten high-fives waiting for you at your seat. A swish from the three-point line. The smell of new basketball shoes. And the love for the game.
