Heart mountain wood carving
The art of gaman is the art from the Japanese internment camps. They would use any thing they got their hands on. There are a couple of different exhibits around the country. I went to one in Seattle and the range of art was very broad. They ranged anywhere from a hair pin to a walking stick.
