While I never met Marvin Shagam, I am certainly aware of his reputation as one of the great luminaries in the CdeP skies. There are, however, other luminaries in the night skies over Thacher; since I fear they have been fading from memory for many of us, I wish to remind and recharge the brightness in their stars overhead. I refer to Charlie Beck, David Lavender, Jack Huyler, Bob Miller, Keith Vosberg, Fred Lamb, and that very excellent human being, Jesse Kahle—who no doubt touched all of our souls who knew him and won’t ever forget him.
