Don Reed ’67

1967Reed-DonDon celebrated the unveiling of Along the Trail—his sculpture depicting President Reagan astride his favorite horse El Alamein—at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library. After 50 years in foundry and sculpting, Don was honored to share his effort as part of the late president’s 105th birthday celebration at the library. His biggest challenge was, “to keep from having his portrait appear to be a caricature of what we all imagine him to have looked like.” Joined by wife Linda, daughter Kylee, and fellow classmates Deneys Purcell and Polly, Tuck Donnelly, and Harvey Kaslow, Don enjoyed the warm acceptance of his sculpture.
