2001WesMyersOne of the many problems with this drought is that locally sourced food supplies are becoming more expensive due to lack of water and forage. The good news is that you will likely see more quality beef hitting the stores as cattle producers are racing for better genetics and having to increase acreage per head. Jocelyn and I are also experimenting with this concept. Even if we do have an El Nino this year, we plan on holding back our numbers moving forward to let the pastures repair themselves after four years of drought.
