I’m thrilled to be living in Istanbul, a truly glorious city, and working at a school that reminds me of Thacher. While Üsküdar American Academy is not a boarding school and I have a view of the Bosporus from my classroom window rather than orange and oak trees, there is the same academic drive in the students, and the campus atmosphere is charged with the tense excitement of learning.
